John Harte
A graduate in Commercial Art at the University of Wyoming, and further studies at the College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, CA., the artist has had numerous one man exhibitions such as The Governor’s Gallery, State Capitol, Tallahassee, FL., Chevron, San Francisco, and Richmond, California. Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde and Frank Lloyd Wright Center, San Rafael, CA.
Several museums have his works in their permanent collection:Palm Springs Desert Museum, Oakland Art Museum, Museum of Northern Arizona, Riverside California Museum, and the Historical Museum of Southern Florida.
Harte is listed in Who’s Who in American Art, and Who’s Who in America.
He prefers to paint in watercolor, and is strong in drawing ability and design. He considers himself a realist, and brings forth an emotional quality in his painting.
He does not limit himself to one subject in painting, but has a preference for natural world objects.
