Joyce Lazzara

Joyce Lazzara is one of Tampa Bay’s best-known artists.  She currently works in oils, but has used a variety of medium during her career as an artist.  Her subject matter ranges from portraiture, to landscapes, to still lives, and her vibrant colors and exquisite detail earmark her very popular style.
Lazzara’s printmaking abilities have added to her reputation as a master craftsperson.  A consummate student of hue, value and chroma, her knowledge and love of color have always distinguished her work.
Lazzara’s work embodies an honest, uncompromising quality that demonstrates the discipline and energy she invests in all that she creates.  She is available for commissioned work and enjoys this opportunity to work more closely with her clients.
Lazzara was born in Tampa, Florida where she now lives with her husband and two children.  She works out of her Tampa studio.  She studied art in Southern Spain, and received her formal training at the University of South Florida.  To further enhance her painting skills she has studied with Daniel Green, Robert McCoy, Frank Covino, Thomas Nash, David Leffel, and Joyce Pike.  Her work is recognized internationally and hangs in numerous galleries and private collections around the world.

EDUCATION:

Fifteen years experience in fashion. Director, coordinator, design, model and buyer. Studied oil painting in Spain with master painter Juan Ignasio and Sardi.
