Art for a Cure, an event which featured Caleb, Carolina Cleere, Lori Ballard, Emily Page, Jack Breit, Donna Morrison, Rick Reeves, Jason Fondren and others was well attended and profitable for several of the artists, as well as the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, to which a portion of the proceeds were donated. James Cournoyer of Seven North took a bunch of photos, a few of which appear below.
All artists involved thank Megan Voeller of Artsqueeze, for providing the highest-profile notification for the event, which was otherwise underpromoted. This was not the fault of local media, but of those responsible for promoting this show.
Balmy temperatures and blue skies made it a perfect day at the St Petersburg Saturday Art Market at shady Williams Park in Downtown St Pete, Florida. Next weekend the market will feature scores of visiting food and crafts vendors in addition to the regular crew of artists and performers, so be there. You’ll need the fond memories to get you through the steamy summer.
