Nice work. I’ve sent the link to this and the following text out to the CubaNews list, a wide-ranging Yahoo news group focusing on information, news and opionion, from, about or related to Cuba for the past eight years.

My father and his parents lived in Cuba during World War II, and I’ve been inolved in informaiton and activity related to Cuba since the early 1960s.

The vendors at the Saturday Art Market are an eclectic and enjoyable bunch. I feel fortunate to be included. Props to Leslie Curran for organizing the event, not to mention her kind support of all kinds of local artists.

I have visited the Williams Park Art Market. I think it has so much potential. The day I was there it was dead. The pics shown here are nothing like the day I visited. The artists were all there waiting eagerly for customers. There we only street people and those who stumbled upon the market. It was deserted. I don’t understand why they have this art market in Williams Park so far away from the Saturday Morning Market on Central. I suppose it is about space. However, I think it is a true shame that this market is in a way segregated. It would be so much better if it was included in the primary Saturday market.
