Announcing the second season of the
SATURDAY ART MARKET.
We will begin this year on:

Saturday, October 4th
10:00 – 3:00 pm
Set up – 8:00 (no later)
Break down – 3:00 (no earlier)
Williams Park – Between 1st & 2nd Avenues North, 3rd & 4th Streets

Fortunately, Williams Park is in the process of some positive changes. The Downtown Neighborhood Association has formally adopted the park, and a thorough clean up is scheduled for: Saturday, September 20th at 10:00. If you would like to join us, and meet some of the downtown neighborhood residents, this would be a good time. Also plans are underway for a possible non profit to be formed to do regular programming and such at Williams Park.
We are fortunate to have Progress Energy, The Downtown Partnership, The City of St. Petersburg, St. Pete College, and others on board to help in “re-introducing” the park as the downtown activity hub that it was in its heyday.

Another change most likely is a name change. To avoid confusion with the Saturday Morning Market, it looks like the name will be changed to ART in the PARK…at Williams Park (as a byline). This will be decided this week. A fresh new logo and banners will advertise the change.

I will e-mail weekly updates as I did last year, and ask that you answer “yes” or “no” as to your participation each Saturday. Cost is still only $20.00 per booth. This year I would like to focus on improving the quality of the market, and increasing participation.

Please forward this e-mail to any artists that you think may be interested in participating.
The art must be original, and a tent is preferred but not required…a professional display is required!
Any new artist may e-mail images of their artwork to: intmotives@gmail.com. The artist will be contacted once the artwork is previewed.

Roser Park is the sinuous centerpiece of a very old neighborhood in St Pete. The unusual thing about Roser Park is that it is in a deep gulch. Big deal? Not around here. Around the Tampa Bay area, a fifty foot deep gulley is the local equivalent of the Grand Canyon, a veritable Marianas Trench of a topographical feature. Oh, and the neighborhood is kinda cute.

These 18×24 acrylic on canvas paintings are available for viewing at Interior Motives Gallery in St Petersburg.
